Gorzo is a 1-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier that arrived at the ARL on Valentine’s Day. When our medical team performed the intake evaluation, they notice that Gorzo was very thin. His previous owners stated that even though he was fed daily, Gorzo didn’t seem to be gaining any weight.

After not showing any appetite, x-rays were taken and the problem was immediately detected by the team. Two pieces of bone were stuck in his stomach and surgery was needed. Dr. Maggie Belshaw performed the surgery that same night and Gorzo started his way to recovery. He started gaining weight steadily and our behavior team started working on assessing him.

Only 5 days after surgery, Gorzo was cleared up for adoption and on February 24 he found his furrever loving home. He went from being shy and sad, to being a very energetic dog that loves to play with his doggy friends.
