Working Cats

Got rats? You need a cat.

Our Working Cat Program provides a second chance for cats who are not suited for traditional indoor homes, but thrive in alternative environments like barns, warehouses, and outbuildings.

About the Program

• These cats are not feral, but may not be suited for life as your typical indoor pets.
• Many shelters have limited placement options for these animals, despite them being healthy and capable of a good quality of life in the right setting.
• Our program helps this population by placing them in working environments where they can thrive.

How It Works

• Cats are placed in barns or similar spaces where they can safely roam
  (Think sheds, warehouses, etc.)
• They remain dependent on their new caretakers for:
  • Food
  • Water
  • Shelter
• This routine helps them settle in and encourages them to stay in their new environment.

Adoption Details

• Working cats are placed through a by-donation adoption fee.
• We provide everything you need to help your new cats acclimate successfully.

Our goal is simple: give these cats a safe place to live, and give you a natural, effective form of pest control.
