Birdsboro, PA (February 5, 2026) – The Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL) is proud to announce that it has been officially nominated for a 2026 Snippy Award, the first national award ceremony dedicated to recognizing the lifesaving work of high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinics. This nomination places the ARL among the standout clinics doing lifesaving work out of more than 500 clinics nationwide, a distinction that highlights impact, innovation, and commitment to animal welfare.
Launched by Clinic HQ, the Snippy Awards celebrate the veterinary teams whose early mornings, high-volume surgical days, precision, teamwork, and emotional endurance help prevent animal suffering on a massive scale. These professionals often work behind the scenes, and the Snippy Awards bring long-overdue recognition to their contributions.
The ARL was nominated in the Dual Impact Champion category, an honor recognizing organizations that excel in both lifesaving adoption outcomes and proactive prevention efforts. This award celebrates a shared Clinic HQ × Shelterluv client that achieved one of the highest verified numbers of adoptions recorded in Shelterluv during the award year, while also demonstrating strong, sustained spay/neuter performance.
“We are honored to be nominated for a Snippy Award.” said Ashley Mikulsky, ARL CEO. “This recognition highlights the balance our team works hard to achieve every day, placing pets into adoptive homes at a high rate while also sustaining a strong spay/neuter program that prevents future shelter intake. Our continued growth in TNR, spay/neuter, and wellness services over the past two years reflects our commitment to serving the community with accessible, affordable care that drives real, lasting impact.”
