Story to Sanctuary: Rocky, Midnight, and Tiger
When Carol* was admitted to the hospital, planning for the unthinkable happened: Her three cats, Rocky, Midnight, and Tiger, had been left behind at home with no one to care for them. Thankfully, her case worker contacted our Animal Protection Department, who received permission to enter the home and rescue her cats.
However, retrieving these cats quickly became a challenge when we discovered Carol had been collecting items that were piled to the ceiling of her home, making her animals extremely difficult to locate. Stay tuned to hear how multiple agencies came together to try and find these three cats this Draft Day.

A Safe Haven for Fire Survivors

When a local family experienced a tragic house fire resulting in a total loss, our Animal Protection Department was dispatched to catch some chickens that became loose on the property. What we didn’t know until after we arrived at the scene was that the family owned 22 chickens and 6 rabbits – and the first responders needed our support in finding and rescuing them. Hear the story of how these animals made it out alive this Draft Day.
The Horses of Featherhill
In July of 2021, our Humane Law Officers removed several horses from a property in Greenwich Township. The case had taken over 200 hours of Investigations, documenting, follow ups and trial preparations, and countless hours were poured into daily medical supervision and care of the horses while they remained in our barn. Find out how this story ends this Draft Day.
