Part-time Shelter Veterinarian (Fridays. Salary negotiable based on experience)
The ARL is seeking a licensed veterinarian to join our growing team so we can help more animals! This position will oversee all aspects of veterinary care for our shelter animals as well as help us achieve high volume, high quality spay & neuter for cats as dogs at a low cost for our community. The ARL is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Complaint 501c3 organization. Part-time position for Mondays and/or Fridays.

Animal Care Specialist ($15-15.50)
Under the direction of the Animal Care & Behavior Supervisor, the Animal Care Specialist provides a high standard of animal care to ensure the welfare of the animals at Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL). S/he creates a healthy
environment for all animals by monitoring their health and behavior, maintaining the cleanliness of kennels and surrounding areas, and providing exercise and socialization.

Client Services ($17-17.50)
Under the direction of the Client Services Supervisory team, the Client Services Specialist provides a variety of services to our community from adoptions to helping families having emotional, social, environmental, or financial problems who need assistance with the pet(s) in their care and helps with lost and found animals.

Medical Technician – Shelter Medical Center (Part-Time or Full-Time $17 – $20/hr)
Under the direction of the Medical Manager, assists in the provision of medical care of animals in the shelter and foster. Administers medications, triage incoming animals, performs basic laboratory tests, and performs euthanasia. Works well independently and under pressure but as part of a team to ensure timely, quality medical care for all animals in the shelter.

Surgery Technician (Part-Time and Full-Time $20 – $25 / hr)
Under the direction of the Shelter Veterinarian, join us as we grow our high volume spay/neuter surgery center to help our community with affordable alteration and community cat program. Assists in the provision of medical and surgical care of the animals in the shelter and for the public. Administers medications and vaccines, assists with surgery, performs basic laboratory tests, and euthanasia. Works well independently but as part of a team to ensure timely, quality medical care for all animals in the shelter.
