Register to become an ARL Pet Portrait Volunteer Artist!
Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a Pet Portrait Contest volunteer artist! We are so thrilled to have your participation.
As a valued artist of our fundraiser, here are some of the next steps you can expect by participating.
- We will contact you via email as soon as we have your pet photo assignment. Commissions will begin coming in between April 20 and May 8, so please expect to receive your assignment during that timeframe. We will begin matching artists as quickly as possible to ensure you have adequate time to complete your portrait.
- Please be mindful of our artwork deadline of June 1st this year. With our art show just around the corner, we need to receive finished pieces as soon as possible! Once artwork is submitted, it becomes the property of ARL and will be presented to the commissioner following the art show. If you’re an artist with a quick turnaround time, you may want to consider serving as one of our trusted backup artists for anyone unable to return their work by the deadline. We would be so grateful for the extra support!
- Artwork is to be no bigger than 16 x 20.
- Save the Date! We will be hosting the art show at Alvernia University’s Miller Art Gallery on Saturday, June 20th. More details to come.
- Here are just a few of the perks of being one of our guest artists: our first-place winner’s artwork will be featured on this year’s ARL coffee blend, and our second-place winner’s piece will be showcased on this year’s ARL tea blend. The top five winning artists will also be invited to our exclusive coffee and tea tasting event, where they’ll help select the next ARL coffee and tea flavors. In addition, the top ten pieces will be transformed into canvases and proudly displayed at the ARL for the next year.
