Ruppert thanks you. Still holding on to his puppy energy at two years old, he came into our shelter having a hard time managing his excitement wherever he went, and soon, his energy transmuted into undesirable jumping and leash biting.

Helping animals like Ruppert overcome their behavior incompatibility doesn’t happen overnight. In fact, during the three months he waited for a new home at ARL, he completed many successful play and training sessions with our staff who helped him learn how to manage his excitement in new places and settings. By the time he found a new home, Ruppert took great strides to improve his manners, and his new family was delighted to help him continue to thrive outside of the shelter.

Thanks to our Bogey’s Academy scholarship program, we were able to offer Ruppert’s new family four weeks of free virtual dog training so he could continue practicing his manners in his new home. He has since completed his training, and his family reports he is settling in very well especially thanks to the help of the scholarship!
