Get ready for a morning of bean-bag-tossing fun featuring a 50/50 raffle (ticket sales are split between winning ticket and ARL) and cash prizes for the top 3 winning teams! All you need to bring is a partner\, a lawn chair\, and your best corn hole skills! The tournament will be double elimination style. Check back here soon for official details. \nRegister here. \n\n\n\n\nWant to make it a whole day of fun for the family? \nThis tournament will run congruently with Berks Nature’s Tails\, Trails\, and Ales event in partnership with the ARL from 12-3 PM. After the tournament concludes\, participants can walk down the trail to the Berks Nature campus and enjoy a free day of fun for the whole family promoting the use of dog-friendly trails in Berks County. Live music\, local vendors\, and guided trail hikes are some of the many activities on the agenda for the day. Dogs are not just welcome but encouraged! \nVIP tickets can be purchased for the event for $35 per person and includes a FREE Berks Nature SiliPint cup\, two FREE beer fill-ups from Appalachian Brewing Company\, catered lunch items courtesy of DoubleTree Catering\, and exclusive access to Berks Nature’s Rooftop Deck. All proceeds will benefit Berks Nature and the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.

DESCRIPTION:  \nPlease join us on Saturday\, August 29th from 11AM-6PM AND Sunday\, August 30th from 12PM-5PM as the ARL takes part in Clear the Shelters\, a national adoption event that has found more than 400\,000 homes for shelter pets throughout the nation since its inception in 2015. All animals at the ARL will have FREE adoption fees this day. To help your visit and adoption go as smoothly as possible\, here are a few tips to ensure you have a successful visit: \n• We are following all PA health and safety mandates\, and require all guests to wear masks and practice social distancing\, even while outdoors. We have implemented a new waitlist at www.berksarl.org/hello to allow you to check in and join a virtual “line” from the safety and comfort of your car until it’s your turn to be assisted. You will be able to view your estimated wait time and communicate with our staff via text anytime during your wait.\n• Please plan to arrive early as adoption wait times are expected. All available adoptable animals will be listed on our website at www.berksarl.org. Our site is updated every 12 minutes to reflect the most up-to-date “inventory” of who’s available to adopt. We suggest browsing it ahead of your visit and selecting a few animals you may want to meet.\n• When you arrive to the ARL\, please check in online at www.berksarl.org/hello and then proceed to the tent to receive an adoption application to complete. All adoptions will be by application and with the guidance of an adoption counselor to help ensure you and your family find the perfect pet.\n• Because we will be assisting you primarily outside\, please dress appropriately. We are conducting all dog meet and greets outdoors. We will be conducting some cat meet and greets through our outside catios\, or we will permit one family at a time to enter our cat lobby for a limited time to interact with cats prior to their adoption counseling session.\n• If you plan to adopt a dog and currently have other dogs at home\, we encourage meet and greets to ensure your dogs will get along well. If your dog is not comfortable around a lot of people or lots of other dogs\, please try to keep your dog away from the crowds by staying with him/her in your cooled car or by walking around the perimeter of our property until it’s your turn to adopt. Please make sure you check in at the tent first to receive your adoption application.\n• Please bring a photo ID\, and a cat carrier or leash and collar. If you don’t have one\, you may purchase those items from us.\n• You must be at least 18 years old to adopt.\n• Under PA law\, a $7 dog license fee applies at the time of adoption. This fee is not covered in your sponsored adoption.
