Ongoing - Kuranda Bed Drive
Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, the ARL has reached its goals of having a cat Kuranda bed for every cat cage! Now, it's time for the dogs to have their beds! We are hoping to get enough beds for all of the small dogs (12) plus large beds for the bigger dogs. Please click on the link below for more information.

The Silpada consultant is donating her commission so 100% of profits go to the ARL! Silpada is a really great jewelry line that specializes in unique silver pieces. There are cat and dog charms available.

Ongoing: **Who doesn't love beautiful photographs of their pets to show off to everyone? Amanda Clark Photography is based in Lancaster Pennsylvania. She specializes in nature, architecture and animal photography, in addition to portraiture, weddings, etc.. Photography is a wonderful way to express yourself, capture memories and tell a story. All donations for photos and photo sessions from this website will go directly to the Grey Muzzle Foster Program at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County. The foster program places older and special needs dogs into temporary homes until they are ready to be adopted into their furever homes! Your donations will go 100% to the Grey Muzzle Foster Program to help pay for the animal's vet bills. holding a spay day at the ARL's surgery center for owned, stray and
feral cats.
Saturday, June 9 - Dance for Dogs! Food served at 6:00pm. music from 7:00pm until 10:00pm $25 per person

Sunday, June 10 - KPets Patriotic Pet Expo Ephrata Park 11:00am - 3:00pm
The ARL has been invited to have a table at this expo to honor special veteran guests.

Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17 - ARL Annual Open House and Adopt-a-thon 9:00am - 9:00pm both days
An annual tradition for the past 23 years! The ARL opens its doors for extended hours during this weekend. In addition to the best selection of pets anywhere around, there will be food, silent auction items, and much more.
Saturday, June 23 - Bob Quinn's 8th Annual Thunder Motorcycle Kick-Off Summer Ride 7:30am - 8:30am - Breakfast at Wegman's Restaurant, Route 61
After breakfast, the ride will go to the ARL to drop off donations, then it's off to the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville for a private tour. Cost is just $1 which includes two free drinks at the end of the tour. At 11:30, leave the brewery and head to Knobels Amusement Park in Elysburg to join up with family and friends.

Sunday, June 24 - Vettes Cruisin' for Pets 11:00am - 4:00pm Alvernia University (Entrance off of Greenway Terrace)
This Corvette show is a huge hit every year! And once again, the Skyline Drive Corvette Club has chosen the ARL as the beneficiary of all proceeds from this event. Please note that it is no longer going to be held at the ARL.

Friday, June 29 - Golf Outing for the Animals Reading Country Club Shotgun start at 1:00pm $100 per person
Contests for closest to the line, closest to the pin and hole-in-one of all par threes with the chance to win either a car, motorcycle or a kayak! Raffles, door prizes and silent auction with prizes such as signed memorabilia from sports professionals, gym memberships and gift cards. All golfers will receive a door prize from companies such as California Bar and Grill, Body Zone, Scotts Car Wash, Valhalla Gym and lots of gift cards.
50/50 raffle with the chance to win up to $1,500.
Full dinner buffet featuring New York sirloin, chicken marsala, tilapia and draft beer. All golfers get a free hot dog prior to the tournament start!
