Mural in the ARL Lobby
The Animal Rescue League gives a huge “thank you” to local artist
Terry Flannery and mural sponsor Ginny Rumsey for making our Rainbow
Bridge mural possible. Our lobby changed from a great new room to a
showplace with the addition of the mural.
The large mural depicts a sampling of our animal companions –
various breeds of dogs and cats, horses, ferrets, guinea pigs and
even a llama – who have passed on and are waiting for us at the
Rainbow Bridge. According to the poem, that’s the place where our
pets romp and play until we get there and are reunited in happiness.
As a fundraiser for the ARL, you can have your pet become part of
the mural. The frame around the mural is divided into 84 six-by-six
inch squares. For a donation of $300 per square, or two squares for
$500, artist Terry Flannery will paint an original portrait of your
pet on canvas. Portraits will be painted from a photograph supplied
by you. They will then be placed on the frame of the mural for
permanent display at the ARL. You will receive a memorial print of
the portrait signed by Terry Flannery.
For more information on purchasing a square or two, contact Barrie Pease at 610-373-8830 or email at
bpease@dejazzd.com.

PET OF THE WEEK
 D19242 I am perfect -
really!!! My
name is Sparkles and I’m a 1-year-old spayed female Pit Bull. I’m
super-sweet. I just love any kind of attention and I want
someone to take me and give me a good life. Please?
I'm housetrained, crate-trained, love kids, and love car rides.
And I really, really want a home with other dogs. I love
to play, play, play! I also have great obedience skills -
I know sit, shake and lay down. P.S. - I love to have my nails painted.
I'm a girly-girl!
More adoptable
pets!

BEHAVIOR HELP
In conjunction with the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of
the University of Pennsylvania, the ARL is pleased to announce an
effort to help people with their pet's behavioral problems before
considering surrendering their pets.
If you are thinking about surrendering your pet due to a behavioral
problem that you don't think you can handle, the University of PA
Behavior Clinic is offering assistance to those by allowing a professional
from the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital to help guide and offer
solutions to your problem(s).
The contact information is as follows. Please allow at least 2 days
for a response.
